The LifeTeen Group of St. Ambrose Church of Latham is hosting a fund-raising dinner on Saturday, March 3th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

to raise money to purchase building supplies for Hurricane Katrina victims and send the LifeTeen group to Mississippi during Spring Break.

The adult food will be catered by Mangia's Restaurant of Stuyvesant Plaza and the kid's food will be catered by Little Bites and Mr. Sub.

Tickets are $10.00 per person, $5.00 for children (ages 6-12), free for children under 5 years old.

A Silent Auction with over 100 items, totaling over $5,000, will take place during the dinner.

Some items include: jewelry; YMCA Family Memberships; weekend getaways; theater and sporting event tickets; gift certificates for restaurants, day spas, and salons; furniture; gift baskets; and canine products/services.

LifeTeen, the high school-youth group from St. Ambrose, will travel during Spring Break to Long Beach, MS as part of an on-going partnership with St. Thomas Church in Long Beach, MS. Last year, 30 LifeTeen students went to Mississippi to assist in the clean-up/relief effort.

This year, as Gulf Coast residents and businesses move into the rebuilding phase, over 40 teens have signed on to assist with carpentry and painting. For more information on this event or this project, contact Erin Muir at 785-1351 Ext. 30 or email irishsea42@hotmail.com.
